S7 is looking good for J/S.

J/S has always been there, even though their pre-pilot backstory has subtly been hinted throughout six seasons. Now they're embarking into a new relationship, and the ship is sailing ahead.

Jack and Sam have a connection that has always been hovering in the background. Sometimes it was hovering further away than at other times, but it never wandered too far off. While I certainly don't expect 100% smooth sailing ahead (that wouldn't be good drama y'know), I really hope they can work it out and be happy together.

Jack and Sam will have their adversity to deal with, and it will only make them stronger as a couple, if they have good communication skills.

I liked their latest interaction but I would really like to see some concrete evidence that they are a couple, nothing over the top mind you. What will happen though if Jack gets his position back, they will be back to having a relationship that isn't really allowed and would jack choose his job over Sam or would they just carry on and hope they didn't get caught out?

I don't want to think about what will happen when Jack gets his job back, but I doubt that he will jeopardize his job again, so it will be the end of a short (but, hopefully, sweet) romantic reunion. I wish Sam could transfer to another unit and drop in from time to time, but I'm sure that won't happen.

J/S will be even better when Jack grows his hair back, although we will be stuck with the buzzcut look for a few epis. I want him looking good in the J/S scenes! I'd like some drama and angst in this season, and I think it's looking good. We have kept the J/S and faith, and we shall be rewarded.

Jack's hair does need to grow a bit, so that Sam can run her fingers through his hair. I hope there are a few onscreen J/S intimate scenes and not implied scenes. I'm dying to see them together. JSRforever!

I wonder if they're together already, or are they still unattached?

That's a very good question

I think judging by the way Sam was giving Jack knowing looks throughout the season opener I think that maybe there is something going on, but I too would like solid evidence.

I definitely noticed the gazing, eye-sexing and flirting banter between them. And I sensed Jack's jealously when Sam found another man handsome when saying he heard Medina was handsome, and Sam gazed at him saying "Really." He was quick to answer, "No, I heard he looks like a hamster." Sam is such a flirt. His response gives me the impression that he doesn't want anyone else competing for Sam's affection. IMO

I think the first couple of episodes have done a very nice job with subtly furthering the romance between Jack and Sam. Clumsy sentence but you know what I mean.

It's looking good!

The true ship is sailing ahead, and we'll see them "define their relationship."

Just my opinion but I see nothing subtle, especially 22x42. It was very obvious what the writers were doing and I think it fell flat. This could be a great story if it is done correctly.
